Answer: 38,000 gallons

Explanation:

Given : A bakery determines that producing 300 cakes requires 57 gallons of milk.

Ratio of milk to cakes =
(57)/(300) (1)

Let x be the number of gallons of milk will be required to make 200,000 cakes.

Ratio of milk to cakes =
(x)/(200000) (2)

If the gallons of milk required varies directly with the amount of cakes produced, then from (1) and (2)

(x)/(200000)=(57)/(300)\\\\ x=(57*200000)/(300)=38000

Hence, 38,000 gallons of milk will be required to make 200,000 cakes annually.
