Sadie models her

neighborhood on a coordinate plane so that
her school is at (8, 12) and a store is at (14, 3).

Answer: (11, 7.5) or (11, 15/2)

Explanation:

Slope:

(12-3)/(8-14) =(9)/(-6) =\boxed{-(3)/(2) }

to find halfway between the vertical distance do

(12-3)/2=9/2=4.5 + 3 = 7.5

To find the horizontal distance do

(14-8)/2 + 8=6/2 + 8 = 3 + 8 = 11

\boxed{\therefore\ \ \ the\ coordinates\ are\ (11,(15)/(2) ).}
