The stamp act was the that almost very item in America is given a stamp and when a stamp is given there would be a tax. The tax that was earned was used to help pay British’s debt from the war that helped protected the colonists. After the stamp act didn’t work, there was a townshend act and that basically put tax on everything. Tha went well as you woul expect it and finally there was only a tax on tea.
