How d i multiply a fraction by a whole number

First, your whole number has to become a fraction. Whatever whole number you get or have to use, its denominator (the bottom number of a fraction) will always be 1. Then, you multiply across. You may have to simplify.

Ex:

2/5 x 2

2/5 x 2/1

= 4/5
