A) x = -2, x = 1.25 I believe.

$x=\frac{-b+-\sqrt{b^(2)-4ac}}{2a}$

a = 4, b = 3 and c = -10.

$x=\frac{-(3)+-\sqrt{(3)^(2)-4(4)(-10)}}{2(4)} \\x=(-3+-√(169))/(8) \\x=(5)/(4) , x=-2$
