Answer:

The production that is probably an interpretation of the original play “The Tempest” by William Shakespeare, is the film made in 2010, directed and written by Julie Taymor.

Step-by-step explanation:

Although there are some topics that remain in both versions: magic, treachery, vengeance, justice, mercy, forces of nature, etc, there is one topic we can’t observe clearly in the book, and it is love; a love from a mother towards her daughter. And here is where a totally new element appears: there is no Prospero, but Prospera, and she has a deep love for her daughter Miranda, rather than the desire to control her and get a benefit from whatever she does. The movie also has several added scenes that moves it aside from the original play.

Hello. This question is incomplete. The full question is:

"Which production of Shakespeare's The Tempest is most clearly an interpretation?

A. One that portrays Prospero as sympathetic toward Caliban B. One that includes characteristics of tragedy, comedy, and romance C. One that portrays Antonio as power-hungry and thoughtless D. One that portrays Caliban as both a man and a monster"

Answer:

A. One that portrays Prospero as sympathetic toward Caliban

Step-by-step explanation:

The Tempest, according to some scholars, was the last play written by William Shakespear.

The work is about two brothers who carry the post of Duke of Milan (post of greater governance in that region).

Prosperous, being the oldest of them, was the one who wielded such power. However Antônio, the youngest, seized with ambition and thirst for power, decides to betray his brother, setting him up to a mortal plan. Antônio places Próspero and his only 2-year-old daughter in a leaky boat, and throws them into the high seas, in order to drown them; eliminating any heir to the duchy, except himself. However, they end up on an island and meet the native Caliban with whom prosper is cruel and abusive.

For this reason, in a version where Prospero is portrayed as sympathetic to Caliban, it would be an interpretation of the original version written by Shakespeare.
