(2n)/(5)+\left(-(n)/(6)\right)=(2n)/(5)-(n)/(6)

To subtract both fractions we need a common denominator.


LCD=(5)(6)=30


(2n)/(5)=(2n\cdot6)/(5\cdot6)=(12n)/(30)\\\\(n)/(6)=(n\cdot5)/(6\cdot5)=(5n)/(30)

Therfore


(2n)/(5)-(n)/(6)=(12n)/(30)-(5n)/(30)=(12n-5n)/(30)=(7n)/(30)=(7)/(30)n
