6. In a track-and-field meet, a runner

ran the first 200 meters of an 800-
meter race in 24 seconds. If the runner
runs the remainder of the race at that
speed, how many minutes and seconds
will it take the runner to complete the
race?

96 seconds. There’s 4 200-meter sections in 800 meters. So 24*4 is 96 seconds for the whole race. If it’s taking about the last 600 meters, then it will be 72 seconds because 200 meters have already been ran.

Answer:

About A minute and 6 seconds.

Explanation:

So we have to calculate the speed: Speed = distance/time

Speed = 200/24 = 8.3333333
