A soccer team gives each player a bonus on the top of his or her base salary for every goal the players scores. The data for some of the team’s players are given.

Players: Gerros, Makaros, and Smith.
Base Salary: $6000, $5000, $7000.
Goals: 70, 20, 80.
A) Find a simplified expression for the total earnings for these 3 players if b represents the bonus, in the dollars.

Answer:

don't trust me on this, but what it looks like is that whoever makes the next best scores on on the team get a increase of $1000

Explanation:

For ex. Makaros has the lowest score so he makes $5000 but gerros has the next best score so he makes 1 more thousand than Makaros.
