How is the world's population changing, and what is its population today?

Every second, 1.8 humans die and 4.2 humans are born and there are about 7.7 billion

Population growth is determined by births and deaths ... importantly structural changes to the economy and a rise of the current births and deaths. As of now, around 82 million is the current average population increase yearly. World population will continue to grow in the 21st century, but at a slower rate compared to the recent past. The current world population is 7.7 billion as of October 2019 according to the most recent United Nations estimates elaborated by "Worldometers".
