The weights of running shoes have an unknown distribution with mean 13 and standard deviation 3 ounces. A sample, with size n=70, is randomly drawn from the population and the values are added together. Using the Central Limit Theorem for Sums, what is the mean for the sample sum distribution?

Answer: 910

Explanation:

mean for sample sums (μΣₓ)= (n)(μ)

where μ = mean = 13

n= sample size = 70

therefore

mean for sample sums = 13 x 70 = 910
