2(x + 11) + 7x = 9x - 22

mutiply the bracket by 2

(2)(x)= 2x

(2)(11)= 22

2x+22+7x=9x-22

2x+7x+22= 9x-22 ( combine like terms)

9x+22= 9x-22

move 9x to the left side

sign changes from +9x to -9x

9x-9x+22= 9x-9x-22

0+22= 0-22

22= -22
