The length of a rectangle is 3 times the width. The perimeter is 52 cm. Find the length and width.

Answer:

w=6.5cm and l=19.5cm

Explanation:

l=3w & p= 52cm

P=2(l+w)

p=2(3w+w)

p=2(4w)

52cm=8w dividing both sides by 8

w=6.5cm

L=3w

L=3(6.5cm)

L=19.5cm
