width= w

length = l=w+5

Area = l * w

104 =(w+5) * w

w2 +5w -104 =0

(w+13)(w-8)=0

w=13 and w=8

so width =8

length=13

Answer:

8 2/3 ft.

Explanation:

Area is length times width.

Use this formula: A=Lw

Apply.

6.5=L(0.75)

Reverse this, to make a division problem.

6.5/0.75=L

8.66666666667 feet or 8 2/3 feet.

Hope this helps!
