Answer:

A :Plants contain chloroplasts to undergo photosynthesis and make glucose directly, but they also use mitochondria for cellular respiration.

Step-by-step explanation:

Glucose is formed by photosynthesis that occurs in the chloroplasts. Chloroplasts are oval shaped organelles occuring in some plants. They contain chlorophyll that traps light in form of photon used to split water molecules into hydrogen atoms and oxygen gas. The oxygen gas is released into the atmosphere. Hydrogen enters the carbon fixation phase where it combine with carbon dioxide forming glucose.

The glucose formed is broken down in the mitochondria to release energy. Mitochondria re sausage-shaped organelles. They are bound by two membranes, the inner membrane which is greatly folded into cristae to increase surface area for attachment of respiratory emzymes. The glucose is broken down forming carbon dioxide, water and ATP.
