At The South Pole, The Sun does not appear
in the sky for six months out of the year
when does this happen? What is
happening at the North Pole during
these months? Explain why Earth's poles

This happens in the winter, meaning that it is near April or June. At the North Pole the sun is shining for six months straight. The poles receive little energy because at any given point in earths revolution around the sun, the poles are the farthest point on earth away from the sun.
