The framers (writers) of the Constitution wanted a strong and lasting central government, but not one so strong that it would endanger people’s freedoms. Do you think the framers were successful in meeting this goal? Explain and give reasons why you think they did or didn’t meet this goal.

My reasoning is:

We still to this day live by the Constitution ( or are supposed to).

We have a working "Checks & Balances" system that makes sure each branch of government (Executive, Judicial, & Legislative) don't hold to too much power.

Example: "The president nominates federal officials, but the Senate confirms those nominations."
