The function is a representationof the rate of change of one variable in relation to another at a given point of a function. The slop is steepness of a line as relationship between the change in y values for a change in the x values

Answer:

The vertical change between two points is called the rise, and the horizontal change is called the run. The slope equals the rise divided by the run.
