Answer:

dog food: so you take 48 (the amount of dog food can in a box) times 30 (the amount of boxes he will be ordering) and that equals 1440 dog food cans

cat food: so you take 112 (the amount of cat food) times 25 (the amount of boxes he will be ordering) and that equals 2800

so you take 1440 (dog food cans) plus 2800 (cat food cans) = 4240 cans of pet food in all
