My teacher assigned a thick homework packet, two book reports, and a 10-page research project, so I guess that I’m going to be a little busy this weekend. This is an example of... hyperbole or understatement

Answer:

understatement : "a little busy"

It's an understatement because this person would be more than a little busy, because of the amount of work.

HYPERBOLE would be considered exaggeration...this can be confusing. :)
