Can someone please explain 7 and 8 to me? I really don’t get it that well. On 7, why are they congruent? Why is it false for 8?

Answer: Look below :)

Explanation:

7. AD and CD are congruent. Each of the triangles are the same in length and shape (both are right triangles). They are the same but are mirrored over the line BD.

8. I have no idea. Sorry.

Answer:

Explanation:

In ΔABD and ΔBDC

BD = BD {common to both trianles}

∠ABD =∠DBC {BD is bisects ∠B}

∠BAD = ∠BCD {given in the sum, both are 90}

ΔABD and ΔBDC are congruent triangles.

7) so, AD conguent CD

8) False.

AB congruent CB because ΔABD and ΔBDC are congruent as CPCT rule.

AB congruent CB not because of BD is bisector of ∠B
