There are two kind of line used for inequality graph, solid line and dash line. Dash line mean more/less than (> or <) while solid line mean more/less than or equal to (≥ or ≤). This graph use dash line so is > or <.

The shaded area is on the left side of the line, so its the equation would be x<y or y > x.

You can find the graph equation from by taking 2 point, let say 0, 5 and -1, 2.

m= x2-x1/y2-y1

m=2-5/(-1)-0

m=3

y=mx +c

5= 3 * 0 + c

c= 5

The graph of the inequalities will be:

y> mx +c

y> 3x +5
