When you add them by elimination method you do like
3x+3y=27
X - 3y=-11
__________
+3y And -3y gets cancels out
You left with
3x=27
X=-11
_______
4x=16
Now you divide 4 on Both side so you get X=4
And now you plug your x value in any of the equation above and you get y value as Y=5

Answer:

Option D - (4, 5)

Explanation:

The y cancels out

3x + x = 27 - 11

4x = 16

Divide both sides by 4

x = 4

Then substitute to get to get y

4 - 3y = -11

Subtract 4 from both sides

-3y = -15

Divide both sides by -3

y = 5

x is 4

y is 5

(4, 5)
