Answer:

m = 3.98 and n = 0.41 is the solution of the given expression.

Explanation:

The given equation is −4m−5n=1−6m+12n=−18

consider −4m−5n = -18

and 1−6m+12n = -18 as two separate expressions

Simplifying the two equations, we get

4m + 5n =18 ........ (1)

and 6m - 12n = 19 ........ (2)

Multiplying (1) with 12 and (2) with 5 and add both equations, we get

48m + 60n +30m -60n = 216 + 95

or, 78m = 311

m = 311/78 = 3.98

putting m = 3.98 back in (1) , we get

4(3.98)+ 5n = 18

or, 5n = 18 - 15.94 = 2.05

so, n = 2.05/5 = 0.41

Hence, m = 3.98 and n = 0.41 is the solution of the given expression.
