Answer:

Parallel lines: Two lines that are always the same distance apart and never touch. Any line that has the same slope as the original slope will never intersect with the other line.

ex/. if one equation is y=3x+2 and find another line thats parallel, then even though the y intercept (b) will be different, the slope will still be 3 and the lines will never touch.

Perpendicular lines: Two lines that intersect each other to make a right angle.

Answer: Parallel lines are lines in a plane that are always the same distance apart and they won't ever intersect. Horizontal and vertical lines are perpendicular to each other i.e. the axes of the coordinate plane and they do intersect.
