The width of a rectangle is 6 m shorter than its length. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 52 m, find its length and width.

length = 16 m, width = 22 m

length = 29 m, width = 23 m

length = 29 m, width = 35 m

length = 16 m, width = 10 m

Answer:

lenth = 16 m, width = 10 m

Explanation:

Perimeter = length + length + width + width

52 = L + L + (L-6) + (L-6)

52 = 4L -12

52 + 12 = 4L - 12 + 12

64 = 4L

64/4 = 4L/4

16 = L

Width = L - 6 or 16 - 6

Width = 10

52 = 16 + 16 + 10 + 10

52 = 52
