High temperatures denature proteins by disrupting their hydrogen

bonds. How might this affect the ability of an enzyme to catalyze
reactions?

Answer:

Enzymes can be described as proteins which are used to speed up a reaction.

A certain increase in temperature increases the catalytic activity for an enzyme.

But beyond a certain temperature, an enzyme will become denatured and it will no longer be able to catalyze the reaction. The active site of the enzyme will get changed and it will no longer allow a particular substrate to fit into it.
