The speed of a model car as it slows down is given by v = 20 - 4t, where v is the speed in meters per second (m/s) and t is the time in seconds (s) during which the car has slowed. Find the speed of the car 1.5 s after it has begun to slow.

t = 1.5

v = 20 - 4t = 20 - 4x1.5 = 20 - 6 = 14 m/s
