√(2x)=x-9

Squaring Both sides


2x=\left ( x-9\right )^2


2x=x^2+81-18x


x^2-20x+81=0


x=(20\pm √(20^2-4* 81))/(2)


x=(20\pm 8.717)/(2)


x=5.64, 14.35

For x=5.64 value of
√(2x)= negative

therefore x=5.64 is not a root of equation
