2x-5.

Explanation:

We do this as the simple division that we do with the integers.Find a quotient that is same as the first on multiplying with the divisor term of the dividend.

Divisor = x+1.

Dividend = 2x²-3x-5

We found that on multiplying 2x with x+1 we will get 2x²+2x and then subtracting it from dividend we will get -5x-5. We found that only multiplying the divisor with -5 we will get -5x-5 and on subtracting it from the dividend the the remainder will be 0. Hence the quotient is 2x-5.
