Answer:

y=-2x+2

Explanation:

Since the 2 points given are (-3,8) and (2,-2) and the slope intercept form equation is y=mx+b with m as the slope, you can find slope by the formula:

(y_(2)-y_(1)  )/(x_(2)-x_(1)  )

Enter the 2 points in.

= -2-8/2-(-3)

= -10/5

= -2

The slope is -2.

Enter the slope (m) into the equation y=mx+b

y=-2x+b

Now, to find the y intercept (b) enter one of the points into the equation. (2,-2)

-2=-4+b

b=-2+4

b=2

So the equation is, y=-2x+2
