(x - 3 i) (x + 3 i)

b)
(\sqrt(5) - i x) (\sqrt(5) + i x)

Explanation:

Those are quadratic equations with complex solutions, you have to use the quadratic equation to find the roots that fit in the linear terms.


(-b+√(b^2 - 4ac)  )/(2a)


(-b-√(b^2 - 4ac)  )/(2a)

each equation will give you one term, for the first equation a=1, b=0, c=5 ; for the second a=1, b=0, c=5. Replacing that in the equations will give you the roots and the answer.
