Answer

given,

discriminant of the quadratic equation ax² + bx + c = 0

D= b² - 4 a c

a) x²-9=0

a = 1 b = 0 c = -9

D = 0² - 4 × 1 × -9

D = 36

b) x²-6 x + 9=0

a = 1 b = -6 c = 9

D = -6² - 4 × 1 × 9

D = 0

c) x²+9=0

a = 1 b = 0 c = +9

D = 0² - 4 × 1 × +9

D = -36
