Nasogastric Tube.
Step-by-step explanation:
Nasogastric tube is a
narrow plastic tube
used for providing
nourishment or sucking out toxicated abdominal fluid
from body.
The nasogastric tube is
inserted through the nose
and then passed through the nasopharyngeal space
into the stomach.
This method is used to provide nourishment fluid and medication who are unable to eat in a normal way, for example, post operative cases, comatose patient etc.
The Nasogastric tube is also used to suck out poison in cases of poisoning when the subject is not in senses and cannot be made to vomit.
