The graph of f(x) = 4x passes through the point (0,0) and (1, 4) because when x = 0 f(x) = 0. Also when x = 1, 4x= 4.

For g(x) we have corresponding points (0, 2) and (1, 5)

g(x) = 4x + c

when x = 0, g(x) = 2 but c must be 2

when x = 1, g(x) = 5 and c changes to 1

So we see that g(x) is a similar graph but it has been translated up 1 unit.
