A ten mile area of tree is removed from the tropical rainforest how will this affect the amount of water and the amount of oxygen in the area

In a tropical rain forest, most of the water is actually absorbed by the trees. In addition, trees contribute to most of the oxygen produced in these biomes. Removing the trees, would reduce the amount of water held and oxygen produced, however the magnitude would depend on the rainforest's original size
