Answer:

No solution:
3x+9+4x+x=8x+1

One solution:
3x+9+4x+x=2x+3

Infinitely many solution:
3x+9+4x+x=8x+9

Explanation:

The given equation is
3x+9+4x+x=___

It can be written as
8x+9=___

Here slope is 8 and y-intercept is 9.

1) No solution:

For all values of x, LHS≠RHS. It means the lines have same slope but different y-intercept.

3x+9+4x+x=8x+1

2) One solution:

For unique value of x, LHS=RHS. It means the lines have different slopes.

3x+9+4x+x=2x+3

3) Infinitely many solution:

For all values of x, LHS=RHS. It means the lines have same slope and y-intercept.

3x+9+4x+x=8x+9

Explanation:

No solution :

8x + 9 = 8x + 7 (because 8x will eliminate 8x and 9 isn't =7)

one solution :(give right side x a smaller number then the one on the left and a different number then 9 from the left )

8x + 9 = 7x + 8

infinitely many solution :(means whatever value you write for x there will be an answer)

8x + 9 = 8x +9
