In order to calculate the slope of a line, you need twp points. So our goal is to find two points that belong to the line via the graph. Be careful : Although you can choose two points arbitrarily, find those whose coordinates are "clear" (integers)

B(-4,-4)


slope = (difference \: in \: y)/(difference \: in \: x ) = (( - 4) - (4))/(( - 4) - (1)) = ( - 4 - 4)/( - 4 - 1) = ( - 8)/( - 5) = (8)/(5)
