a bank pays 3% simple interest. hannah invested £450 in the bank. how much will be in the bank in 5 years?

To solve, multiply the principle (450) by the interest (3%) by time (5years). The percent needs to be a decimal in order to multiply so that would be .03, because the decimal moves to the left 2 spaces. 450(.03)(5)=67.5
67.50 is the interest. Add it to 450 to know how much is in the bank total.
517.50 total.
