3x + 2y = -26 ........(1)

2x - 6y = -10........(2)

Multiplying (1) by 3

= 9x + 6y = -26

Adding (1) and (2)

= 9x + 6y = -78

= 2x - 6y = -10 (+)

---------------------------

11x = - 88

x = -8

Substituting x in (2)

-16 - 6y = -10

-6y = 6

y = -1
