How to multiply fractions

To multiply two fractions, you multiply the numerator by the numerator and the denominator by the denominator.

For example, 1/2 × 1/2 would be (1×1)/(2×2) = 1/4.

Another example: 2/3 × 1/4 = (2×1)/(3×4) = 2/12 = 1/6

I hope this helps. :)

Answer:

this is a bit tough at first

Step-by-step explanation:

when you first start to multiply fractions it can be tough to explain so let me give you an example.

(4)/(9)*(16)/(17)

The simplest method is to multiply the two top numbers together, than multiply the two bottom numbers together.

(4)/(9)*(16)/(17)=(4*16)/(17*9)=   (64)/(153)

Than simplify the fraction if necessary.

If you still don't understand I revise the question to your needs.
