|EF|=√((8-(-1))^2+(-4-(-1))^2) =√(90)=3√(10) \\\\CD=√((-1-(-7))^2+(-2-(-4))^2)=√(40) =2√(10) \\\\Therefore:\\\\|EF|+|CD|=3√(10) +2√(10) =5√(10)
