Which part of this story is the
climax?
A kingdom is attacked by an evil,
fire-breathing dragon. Good King
Winssley commands his bravest
knight, Sir Boris, to go and seek the
dragon. The knight travels through
forests, valleys, and swamps until he
finds the beast's lair, whereupon
they fight an epic battle. After much
struggle, Sir Boris slays the dragon.
Sheathing his sword, he travels back
to the land of King Winssley and
lives happily ever after.
O King Winssley tells Sir Boris to
go find the dragon
Sir Neris goes on a long journey
in search of the dragon.
The knight and the dragon fight
an epic battle.
O Sir Boris returns to the land of

The climax is usually followed by a build up in the story, this build up was the dragon attacking the kingdom and the King telling Sir Boris to go slay the dragon. The trip to the dragon's lair is what comes before the climax. The climax, or purpose of the story, is when Sir Boris slays the dragon. The decent is when he travels back to the city and lives happily ever after.
