In the later 1800s, new technology made farming much easier and land use more efficient. With new farming technology, large amount of seeds would now take very less time to be planted. This further reduced time of harvesting of the crop and the land now could be used for different crops and guaranteed more harvest. One of the disadvantages of introducing technology was that it took away employment of landless farmers who would work on others' farm for livelihood. Machines replaced these farmers in terms of ploughing or harvesting.
