Answer: A square root can be rational which means it can be expressed as a ratio of two intengers because if its a perfect square like the square root of 4 which is perfect because the answer for that is 2 and the square root of 9 is also considered rational because it is perfect because the answer for that is 3. While square roots that are non-perfect are considered irrational because they cannot be expressed as a ratio of two intengers like the square root of 5 because there is not a perfect square. There are many other examples but i included those in case you need it.
