Solution:

As shown in the picture for two triangle
\Delta A B C, \Delta P Q R


\angle A B C=\angle P Q R \text { and } \angle A C B=\angle P R Q

Hence the ratio of the sides of these angles for both the triangles will be same.

Here AB =20, AC = 24, PQ = 5 and PR = x

So as the ratio is same, hence,


(P Q)/(A B)=(P R)/(A C)


\Rightarrow (5)/(20)=(x)/(24)


\Rightarrow (1)/(4)=(x)/(24)


\Rightarrow x=(24)/(4)=6

So, the value of
\overline{P R} =6 units
