Explanation:

Question 9:

Hypotenuse = 7

Leg = Hypotenuse / √2 = 7/√2 = 7√2 / 2.

Therefore x = y = 7√2 / 2.

Question 10:

Leg = 10

Since x is also a Leg, x = 10.

Hypotenuse = Leg * √2 = 10√2. => y = 10√2.

Question 11:

Leg = 7

Since x is also a Leg, x = 7.

Hypotenuse = Leg * √2 = 7√2, => y = 7√2.
