The way James Watt’s inventiveness change industry:
James Watt, a Scotland based inventor and a scientific instrument maker revolutionized the world with his improved steam engine technology that helped industries to achieve efficiency in production and transportation.
Prior to Watt's invention of improved steam engine, steam engine invented by Thomas Severy and Thomas Newcomen was used only to pump out water from coal mines. This process took not only more time to execute the work but also it became inefficient due to repeated cooling and reheating.
Realizing it's ineffectiveness, James Watt started his research on steam engines and brought two important changes in the way steam engine works. One, he introduced condenser chamber into the existing engine that allowed to work all the time without interruption. Second, he insulated the cylinder so as to keep temperature in higher level. These improvements helped industry to widen its applications from mining to boating.
