The midpoint (-2,4) is up and to the left from (6,-1).
x goes down in value by -8 from 6 to -2 as we
move from (6,1) to (-2,4)
y goes up by 5
So if we add -8 to -2 and 5 to 4 we will have our new point
(-10,9)
Verify by midpoint formula
(x1+x2)/2 , (y1+y2)/2
=
(-10+6)/2 , ( 9+ -1)/2
-4/2 , 8/2
-2 , 4
