Answer:

The perimeter of the rectangle with L=
(3)/(4) cm and W
= (7)/(8) cm is 3.25 cm or
(13)/(4) cm

Solution:

Given, the length of the rectangle is L =
(3)/(4) cm

And, the width of the rectangle is W =
= (7)/(8) cm We have to find the perimeter of the given rectangle.

We know that, perimeter of a rectangle is given by

P = 2( L + W )

So, let us substitute the above given values in the formula of perimeter of a rectangle.

P=2\left((3)/(4)+(7)/(8)\right)

Multiplying 2 on numerator and denominator, to get both denominators equal.

\begin{array}{l}{\mathrm{P}=2\left((2 * 3)/(2 * 4)+(7)/(8)\right)} \\\\ {=2\left((6)/(8)+(7)/(8)\right)} \\\\ {=2\left((6+7)/(8)\right)} \\\\ {=2 * (13)/(8)=(13)/(4)=3.25}\end{array}

Hence the perimeter of the rectangle with L=
(3)/(4) cm and W
= (7)/(8) cm is 3.25 cm or
(13)/(4) cm
